Standards

  • EN 16002 - Flexible sheets for waterproofing - Determination of the resistance to wind load of mechanically fastened flexible sheets for roof waterproofing
  • ETAG 006 – Systems of Mechanically Fastened Flexible Roof Waterproofing Membranes
  • NEN 6707 - Fixing of roof coverings - Requirements and determination methods
  • BDA – dynamical windload testing of façade

Principle

On a test specimen with specified dimensions (3 m x 3 m or 3 m x 5 m), a pulsating underpressure is applied. By increasing the pressure in a specified manner, the test specimen will eventually fail. The load cycle of failure determines the resistance to dynamical wind load and with that the applicability of the build-up in different wind areas.
