Recently Kiwa has become an empowered Certification Body (CB) and recognized test center for Heat Pump (HP) Keymark. Samsung is the first organization to obtain this certificate out of hands of Kiwa.

Kiwa develops eco-friendly accelerated notch pipe test (aNPT)

Kiwa has successfully implemented the eco-friendly accelerated notch pipe test (aNPT) for PE100-RC pipe testing. The important difference with a normal NPT is that instead of using loads of water, the pipe is placed in a detergent solution.

Study by Kiwa and Stedin: Dutch village Stad aan 't Haringvliet can switch to green hydrogen

Together with grid operator Stedin, Kiwa has investigated whether the Dutch village Stad aan 't Haringvliet can switch from natural gas to green hydrogen. The research shows that this can be achieved within a relatively short time and at relatively low costs.

New Green Hydrogen Project

Kiwa is delighted to be working as part of a consortium on the UK Government-funded Project Methilltoune. This project seeks to demonstrate the bulk supply of hydrogen from offshore wind and examine the cost reduction opportunities.

GAR-update: withdrawal of EN 484:1997, EN 521:2006 and EN 14543:2005 + A1:2007

The standards EN 484:1997, EN 521:2006 and EN 14543:2005+A1:2007 have been replaced by new versions. Appliances burning gaseous fuels used for cooking, heating, hot water production, refrigeration, lighting and washing need to be certified based on the updated standards after the dow date.
