Kiwa will be present at BIOFACH 2020, world’s leading trade fair for organic food in Nuremberg, from 12-15 February 2020. Kiwa is one of the pioneers of the European organic movement. We carry out inspections and certifications in all areas of organic production.

Babcock Scandinavian AirAmbulance is the largest in the Nordic European countries on ambulance flights. In 2015, they became environmentally certified according to ISO 14001, which led to increased environmental awareness throughout the organization.

AQS France, an independent inspection body in the food sector, is now part of the Kiwa Group. With the integration of AQS, Kiwa strengthens both its footprint in the international Agro, Feed and Food market and in its French activities.

The international basketball federation (FIBA) has joined forces with Kiwa and other test institutes to create an upgraded version of the FIBA Handbook of test methods and requirements.

Kiwa Italy has established a brand new state of the art Plastic Laboratory in Bologna. The establishment responds to the increasing demand of the Water & Gas sector, with the aim to support companies with their business growth and innovation.

Kiwa has successfully implemented the eco-friendly accelerated notch pipe test (aNPT) for PE100-RC pipe testing. The important difference with a normal NPT is that instead of using loads of water, the pipe is placed in a detergent solution.

From September 23 - 28, Kiwa will join the Dutch Innovation Mission Hydrogen to Japan. The mission facilitates excellent opportunities to gain more insights into the chances hydrogen offers and to strengthen our international network even further.

Kiwa, as an internationally accredited certification body for solar products, will be present at the Solar Power International 2019 exhibition, in Salt Lake City (USA) from 23 to 26 September.

Kiwa is glad to welcome Ron Scheepers as our new Executive Vice President for the Service Line Assurance from October 1. Ron will succeed Erik Landgren, who is now Country Manager of Kiwa Inspecta Sweden.

Together with grid operator Stedin, Kiwa has investigated whether the Dutch village Stad aan 't Haringvliet can switch from natural gas to green hydrogen. The research shows that this can be achieved within a relatively short time and at relatively low costs.

Kiwa has welcomed Acheta Consulting Ltd to the Kiwa UK family. The new company adds pest management services to our portfolio.

Kiwa is delighted to be working as part of a consortium on the UK Government-funded Project Methilltoune. This project seeks to demonstrate the bulk supply of hydrogen from offshore wind and examine the cost reduction opportunities.

The standards EN 484:1997, EN 521:2006 and EN 14543:2005+A1:2007 have been replaced by new versions. Appliances burning gaseous fuels used for cooking, heating, hot water production, refrigeration, lighting and washing need to be certified based on the updated standards after the dow date.
