Plumbing fittings for capillary soldering and/ or thread connections to copper tubes (BRL-K623)

Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRLK623 applies to plumbing fittings being used to make capillary soldering and/or thread connections, in tap water installations, household gas installations and in heating installations. The plumbing fittings are intended for use in combination with copper pipes according to the Kiwa guideline BRL-K760.

For the application in tap-water installations a maximum working pressure of 1000 kPa and a maximum water temperature of 90°C is applicable.

The evaluation guideline BRL K623 is a certification scheme for the Kiwa product certificate for plumbing fittings for capillary soldering and/or thread connections to copper tubes.

Metal fittings with explosion cartridge (BRL-K626)

Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRLK626 applies to fittings intended for jointing with any copper supply pipe under pressure according to NEN 2200 with outer diameters of 12, 15, 22, 28, 35, 42 and 54 mm.

The fittings are provided with a plunger with cutting edge that connects the supply pipe under the influence of gas pressure. The gas pressure is created after the ignition of an explosion cartridge.

The fittings are intended for use in drinking water installations with an operating pressure up to 1000 kPa and a temperature up to 90°C. Means for attaching the fittings to the pipes that are integral with the fittings are covered by this evaluation guideline.

The evaluation guideline BRL K626 is a certification scheme for the Kiwa product certificate for metal fittings with explosion cartridge.

Fittings with compression ends for use with copper tubes (BRL-K639)

Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRLK639 applies to fittings with compression ends being used to connect copper pipes, according to the Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL-K760, in tap water and gas installations and in heating installations.

This mechanical connection is realized by compression, a cutting ring or deformation of the pipe end, with no use of soldering or screw thread on the copper tube. The fittings can also be applied underground in areas with no contaminated soil. For the application in tap-water installations a maximum working pressure of 1000 kPa and a maximum water temperature of 90°C is applicable.

The evaluation guideline BRL K639 is a certification scheme for the Kiwa product certificate for fittings with compression ends for use with copper tubes.

Fittings to be tightened with matching compression tool, compression- and push fit fittings (BRL K640)

Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRLK640 applies to fittings to be tightened with matching compression tool, compression- and push fit fittings as part of an appliance or installation, to be applied in tap water installations with a maximum working pressure of 1000 kPa and a maximum water temperature of 90°C. These installations are either plastic or metallic.

The evaluation guideline BRL K640 is a certification scheme for the Kiwa product certificate for fittings to be tightened with matching compression tool, compression-and push fit fittings as part of appliances and installations.

Ductile iron fittings for piping systems of PVC-U or PE for the transport of drinking water (BRL K773)

Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRLK773 applies to products intended to be used as part of a piping system for drinking water transport with a nominal diameter of DN 40 up to and including DN 700, at a maximum water pressure of 1 MPa and a water temperature of 25°C.

The evaluation guideline BRL K773 is a certification scheme for the Kiwa product certificate for ductile iron fittings for piping systems of PVC-U, PVC-O or PE for the transport of drinking water.

Compression fittings to tighten with matching clamping device (BRL-K774)

Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRLK773 applies to fittings with compression ends are being used to make tensile connections in drinking water installations with a maximum working pressure of 1000 kPa and a maximum water temperature of 90°C. The connections can be made with stainless steel tubes according Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL K762 and/ or copper tubes according to Kiwa evaluation guideline BRL-K760 in the quality ‘half hard’ and ‘hard’.

The compression fittings are not suitable for hard or soft soldering during installation, because of the risk of corrosion and the lack of a capillary gap. The compression fittings are suitable for making a connection with brass and red copper fittings without the risk of contact corrosion.

The evaluation guideline BRL K774 is a certification scheme for the Kiwa product certificate for compression fittings to tighten with matching clamping device.

Ductile iron pipes and couplings for wastewater (BRL-K14027)

Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRLK14027 applies to products intended to be used as piping systems for the transport of wastewater with a:

  • Nominal diameter from DN 40 to DN 2000 and;
  • Nominal pressures of PN 10, PN 16, PN 25 or PN 40 and a;
  • Maximum water temperature of 45 ° C less than or equal to DN 200 and 35 ° C for products greater than DN 200.

The evaluation guideline BRL K14027 is a certification scheme for the Kiwa product certificate for ductile iron pipes and couplings for wastewater.
