The Consortium's aim is to guarantee the eco-sustainable production of the packaging within its competence and their correct and effective environmental management, throughout the national territory. The CO.N.I.P. operates through the closed loop which guarantees the supply, collection and recovery of the crates and pallets of the consortium circuit.

What is CO.N.I.P Ortofutta?

CO.N.I.P. is the Italian Consortium which, with ministerial recognition, organizes at a national level (Italy) the management, collection and recycling of CO.N.I.P. branded plastic crates and pallet, via the closed loop.

Since 1998, the year the Consortium was founded, CO.N.I.P. applies the principles of the circular economy and involves in its circuit all the main players in the relevant supply chains, i.e. producers, users, collectors and recyclers of plastic crates and pallets. The audit activity is carried out only by Certification Bodies recognized by CO.N.I.P., such as Kiwa.

How does a CO.N.I.P Ortofrutta audit work?

CO.N.I.P Ortofrutta is not a certification service but an audit activity on behalf CO.N.I.P. To be qualified by CO.N.I.P. is necessary request directly to CO.N.I.P. if Italian recyclers or converters to produce respectivley recycled material and PP crates.
