In Sweden, EU legislation on organic farming is fully implemented. In addition, national regulations, some of them under private law, apply. KRAV is one such private law standard. KRAV offers two options for inspection for organic food. A certification that also includes requirements for the inspection of better working conditions and thus goes beyond the requirements of the EU organic regulation is only offered by Kiwa Sweden.

At Kiwa BCS in Germany, we can verify your raw materials so that they can be processed into organic end products in Sweden.

A KRAV verification with Kiwa BCS Öko-Garantie GmbH:

Organic products and raw materials that are certified according to Regulation (EU) 848/2018, verified according to KRAV and produced outside Sweden can be labelled with the KRAV label by a KRAV-certified importer. The production must also meet the additional requirements of the KRAV standard throughout the supply chain. Compliance with these requirements must be verified by an independent body such as Kiwa BCS. By getting verified, you build trust with your customers by assuring them of the accuracy of your claims and the quality of your products. This in turn brings repeat business and strengthens your reputation.

Process of your KRAV certification:

First, you obtain a non-binding offer from us. After a positive response and conclusion of the contract, we carry out the initial inspection at your farm and check the degree of fulfillment of the additional KRAV requirements. For each organic inspection, a final inspection report is drawn up containing all inspection points and their results.

In order to guarantee high quality and independence in the certification process, we always work according to the four-eyes principle. This means that the inspection and the certification cannot be carried out by the same personnel. After the inspection, two different sets of eyes always look at the situation on site and the report in the office.

If your company fulfills all legal requirements, our certifiers will issue your KRAV certificate. From this day on, you are allowed to export the corresponding products to Sweden as organic products and sell them there.
