Who is Kiwa Watermark for?
The Kiwa Watermark is for producers and suppliers of drinking water products. And indirect, the mark is aimed at drinking water companies, installers and owners of drinking water installations.
The Kiwa Watermark indicates that:
- The products meet the requirements in relation to health, safety, suitability, durability;
- The production process complies with the requirements for quality assurance;
- Products that come into contact with drinking water are supplementary tested on hygienic aspects: the health- and quality effects of products and materials in contact with drinking water.
Kiwa evaluation guidelines
Evaluation of the products is carried out based on Kiwa evaluation guidelines. The guidelines contain requirements with respect to the functionality and durability of the product, as well as requirements with respect to the production process at the location of production.
Evaluation guidelines for products that come into contact with drinking water also include the legal requirements for hygienic aspects. Often, the requirements are based upon European standards. Kiwa Watermark Certification and Testing for Chemicals and Water Treatment Installations
Chemicals and installations used for treatment and/ or production of drinking water can be tested and certified with the Kiwa Watermark quality mark. Kiwa Watermark quality statements under Kiwa evaluation guidelines BRL- K14022, BRL- K14037, BRL- K15001 and BRL- K15003.
Compliance to KC mark by Kiwa
The KC mark confirms that the products meets the relevant Korean Safety Standards (K Standards). There are a number of accredited certification bodies that are permitted to conduct product tests, factory audits and issue certificates. Together with our partners, Kiwa can facilitate regulatory compliance to local requirements for a number of product standards.
Compliance to BSMI Certification by Kiwa
The BSMI Certification ensures that drinking water related products meet safety, health and environmental regulations and standards. The Taiwan Commodity Inspection Schemes are administered by the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI), which is the authority responsible for standardization, metrology and product inspection in Taiwan.
