Course introduction

As the certification body for the Fertiliser Industry Assurance Scheme (FIAS), Kiwa Training is approved as a DVSA Training Accreditation Centre and approved to deliver a FIAS CPC course for drivers.

As part of legislation, haulage businesses or any business that has a fleet and drivers within their control are required to send their drivers on 35 hours of training within a 5 year period. This training is known as Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) course.

The course is designed to coincide with the FIAS Haulage Code of Practice and once completed by your drivers they will receive their certificate of training.

This certificate can be used at your FIAS audit as confirmation that you have successfully completed a FIAS transport safety course.

 

Who is the course for?

The course is aimed at FIAS Drivers & Transport Managers.

 

What will delegates take away?

This course counts towards 7 hours of your CPC requirements and has been approved by the DVSA Training Accreditation team.

A CPC Certificate of Training is awarded to delegates which can be used at your FIAS audit as confirmation that you have successfully completed a FIAS transport safety course as required within the AIC scheme.

The course price shown includes DVSA Upload fee but is excluding VAT. 

 

The course syllabus

  • Complying with fertiliser legislation including Risk Assessment
  • Updating your existing knowledge of fertiliser security FIAS 2021 Code of Practice
  • Understanding the carriage of fertiliser
  • Understanding the requirements of safe loading/unloading.
