This is a popular set of courses for all those wishing to renew their qualification or training and assessment to install, service and maintain oil fired appliances.
Our impressive solid fuel, gas and oil training facilities in Cheltenham enable you to train on a range of appliances from different manufacturers, so that you are familiar with the various boilers, heaters and cookers that you'll come across in your day-to-day work. We also deliver I-GAS courses.
Entry Requirements
For new entrants into the oil heating industry - Initial Training and Assessment:
- City and Guilds Certificate, NVQ /SNVQ Level 2 qualification in plumbing or equivalent, or
- Completed OFT 50 with relevant plumbing skills, knowledge and experience, or
- Can demonstrate appropriate previous experience and would like to complete OFTEC 50 Oil Fired Entry Course, or
- Are already a valid Gas Safe Registered operative working in the gas industry who would like to further progress their heating career into oil.
