Testing of flat glass, profiled glass and glass block products
Kiwa is a notified body and accredited testing laboratory for insulation glass (EN 1279); safety glass (EN 12150, EN 1863, EN 14179, EN 14449); coated glass (EN 1096). Kiwa performs the EN 12600 pendulum test for the classification of flat glass, as well as additional test on the frame of a window, e.g. artificial weathering (EN ISO 4892-2) of PVC-U profiles and HPL-panels.

Initial testing of multi-pane insulating glass

The test according to EN 1279 is used in the renovation of living space and in-house construction. Here, tests are carried out on multi-pane insulating glass according to EN 1279 Part 2, Part 3 and Part 4. Part 4 is carried out without steam and fibre permeability test.
