In response to this, vehicle security specialist Kiwa SCM is launching the certification mark 'Electronic Security Systems for Two-Wheelers', aimed at the independent certification of track & trace systems for electric bicycles. In 4 steps to certification
The process for product certification at Kiwa SCM consists of four steps. The product certification is conducted according to the Electronic Security Systems for Two-Wheelers certification specification and its accompanying administrative provisions.
The recognition scheme
Kiwa SCM will approve systems that are standardly built into the factory as well as standalone transmitters that are sold aftermarket. A recognition scheme, which will be introduced later, will determine what bicycle dealers need to do to register systems directly with Kiwa SCM themselves.
