System certification

Having a product tested and ensuring that it complies with relevant standards is an important step for manufacturers who want to bring a product onto the global market. Regulations regarding product certification can vary from country to country. Kiwa facilitates an extensive portfolio of approval and testing services for product certification. We ensure that the time-to-market for your certified products is as short as possible.
CE marking is not a certification, but it does play an important role if you want to market your products within the EU. The EU has defined more than twenty product groups that require CE marking. The legal requirements are described in directives and regulations.
Kiwa is a so-called 'notified body' and is accredited to test and certify your products for the European market. With laboratories in a growing number of countries, Kiwa can offer global services on a local basis.
The new UK product safety marking UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) is used for goods that are brought onto the British market. It covers most goods for which the CE marking was previously required. The UKCA marking came into effect on January 1, 2021. Kiwa's test laboratories can provide UKCA marking guidelines for gas, solid fuels and electrical appliances.
