Industrial Gas Systems
Receive a quote tailored to your needs
Kiwa Technology can advise you on safe and efficient use of your gas system in the different phases in the life of the system. This ranges from carrying out a risk analysis at the design stage to determining the remaining service life for an existing system.
We can determine for you whether a system is capable of safe operation based on a design assessment and functional testing of the system. Our report allows you to demonstrate compliance with the valid safety requirements.
Examples of projects
- investigation into the cause of an accident when starting up a system.
- support when carrying out a periodical inspection for major complicated systems such as a pyrolysis oven.
- practical training in respect of implementing the ATEX directive.
- technical assessment of systems such as a gas filling station and oil burners for a smelting furnace.
- setting up and giving training courses for maintenance and inspection activities in respect of your in-house plant.
Because of the complexity of these systems, complying with these requirements is no simple task. A knowledge of gas technology, safety policy, ATEX and SIL is required.
Target Groups
- Owners of industrial systems.
- Equipment manufacturers.
- Inspection companies
Accelerated lifetime evaluation for Fuel Cell stacks
Fuel cells are sensible for contaminants like SMOG, salt, soot and other (air) pollutants in environmental air. Whether fuel cells are implemented in cars, (motor) bikes or other (transport) vehicles, it is necessary to investigate the influence of potentially harmful contaminants from the air on the fuel cells.

Risk Based Asset Management
Kiwa Technology can offer support to operators of pipelines such as gas distribution companies, water boards and heat energy companies when implementing RBAM.

Explosion Safety
Every company that transports, stores and uses flammable substances is required by the Dutch Working Conditions Act (Arbowet) to pursue a policy aimed at protecting employees against the dangers of explosion.

Getting a grip on gas
Actively keeping track of the complete design, installation and management cycle for gas systems owned by housing associations is often difficult by the involvement of many different parties. As a result, housing associations can lose control. Kiwa Technology can help housing associations to regain full control.

Boiler room under ground level
Certification of a boiler room under ground level is intended to reduce the probability of a gas explosion in the boiler room to a significant extent. This is achieved by implementing additional measures.
