About ceramics certification and testing
Kiwa Watermark certified ceramics and accessories guarantee compliance with the requirements of Dutch and international standards for products used for drinking water distribution. In addition, the products meet the hygienic requirements, as set by the Dutch government.
Only products that meet all requirements -including an agreed constant quality level- can be certified by Kiwa with the Kiwa Watermark and thus be used in The Netherlands. The examination of the products also covers compliance tests for the corresponding European Standards EN 997, EN 14055 and EN 14124.

Float operated valves for flushing cisterns (BRL-K615)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRLK615 applies to float operated valves intended to be applied in flushing cisterns which are connected to WC-pans. The valves have the purpose to open when the cistern is being flushed and shut off the water supply when the required water level is reached. The float operated valves in flushing cisterns are intended to be installed in a drinking water installation with a maximum working pressure of 1000 kPa and a maximum water temperature of 30°C.
The evaluation guideline BRL K615 is a certification scheme for the Kiwa product certificate for float operated valves for flushing cisterns.
Float valves in nominal sizes 1/2 to 2 (BRL-K616)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRLK616 applies to products intended for use in drinking water installations with an operating pressure of no more than 600 kPa (pressure stage I-6) and 1000 kPa respectively and a water temperature of no more than 30ºC.
The evaluation guideline BRL K616 is a certification scheme for the Kiwa product certificate for float valves in nominal sizes from DN 15 (1/2 ") to DN 50 (2").
WC pans (BRL-K619)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRLK619 applies to products intended to be applied as sanitary appliances in combination with flushing cisterns (conform BRL-K620), or pressure flush-valves giving a nominal flushing volume.
These appliances are intended for connection to drinking water installations with a maximum water temperature of 30ºC and a maximum working pressure of 1000 kPa. The product shall be made from sanitary porcelain or stainless steel. Manifolds and compatible outlets may be manufactured from other suitable materials.
The evaluation guideline BRL K619 is a certification scheme for the Kiwa product certificate for wc pans.
Flushing cisterns (BRL-K620)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRLK620 applies to products intended to be applied as a flushing device for WC-pans. The flushing cisterns in combination with a matching WC-pan is designed to be used as a sanitary flushing installation with a nominal flush volume.
The cisterns are designed for drinking water installations with a maximum water temperature of 30ºC and a maximum working pressure of 1000 kPa.
The evaluation guideline BRL K620 is a certification scheme for the Kiwa product certificate for flushing cisterns.
Close coupled suites (BRL-K621)
Kiwa Watermark certification under Kiwa evaluation guideline BRLK621 concerns products intended to be applied as sanitary appliances giving a nominal flushing volume of 6, 7 or 9 litres. These appliances are intended for connection to drinking water installations with a maximum water temperature of 30° C and a maximum working pressure of 1000 kPa.
The evaluation guideline BRL K621 is a certification scheme for close coupled suites.
