How do I share my eLicense to third parties?

To share an eLicense with a third party, select the eLicense you would like to share. In this tab, there is an option at the top called “Share”. Now select the “Start sharing” option and scan the QR which has been presented to you.

(Note: Sharing only works with trusted third parties).

To verify the authenticity of an eLicense, select the “More” tab within the eWallet app. In this tab, there is an option at the top called “verify a license”. Select this option and scan the QR code which will be displayed to you by the holder.

The enforcer sees different information than I see in my eLicense, how is that possible?

After scanning the QR code, the verifier gets the latest eLicense copy. If there are discrepancies between what the verifier sees and what holder sees, it may be due to an outdated eLicense on the smartphone of the holder. Refresh the app of the holder’ to update your eLicenses. If the issue persists, please contact your issuing authority.

Does the app also work when I am offline?

When you are offline and someone needs to verify your license, it is not an issue. You can create a QR code even without an internet connection, and the person verifying it will still be able to confirm the authenticity of your license.

What is the difference between online and offline verification?

In an online verification, the database of the issuing authority is checked for the latest version and status of the eLicense. In an offline verification, the authenticity of the e-license on the holder's phone is checked. A law enforcement officer would then know that the eLicense is genuine but may not be sure if it's the latest version of the eLicense.
